Lola is 18 Months old!

Seriously, where has time gone?!?! Everyone says it goes by fast, no one tells you that they weren't kidding!

Our little Bean is now 18 months old, and by all accounts, a toddler. In many ways she is a typical toddler, curious, energetic, happy... BUT the fun part is now she is really developing her own personality, she has likes, dislikes, "hobbies," favorite tv shows... you get the picture. So in an effort to sum up Miss Lola, I have decided to put a list together of all her "favorites."

Favorite Foods: Chicken Nuggets ( i know...good news, they're not the fast food kind), cheese pizza, yogurt, bread, veggie stix

Favorite Activity: Dancing, climbing, playing in her kitchen, going to the park

Favorite Toy: Her Golf club and golf ball-she's actually really good

Favorite TV show: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sesame Street, Choo Choo Soul

Of course we think she is uber cute and just love her to pieces. All in all she just makes our heart smile!

No update is complete without stats, so here they are:
Weight: 21 lbs 1 oz (6%)
Length: 31 1/4 in (35%)

Who's that Baby?

I will admit, if you watch, oh the first 30 seconds of this video, you have seen it all...BUT how cute is he?!?! He is just cracking himself up looking in the mirror, the funniest part is, I dont think he realizes its himself he is looking at!!

Losing it!!!

So recently I am more motivated than ever to lose the rest of this baby weight...I want it gone, I want my old body back, I want my old wardrobe back! I just know Ill feel better on all accounts.

Usually when I want to shed some poundage I turn to the Weight Watchers program, it just works. I love that I can cook my own food, be creative and be successful. It is important not to feel deprived or like you are on a diet...lets face it, who wants to give up going out to eat or dessert....not this girl!! The best part is Mark doesn't mind or really notice at all...we are just eating healthier :)

I have been asked to post my dinner menu's or examples which I am happy to do. For the most part I am "best behaved" during the week, and on Friday and Saturday night I splurge. This is when we go out to dinner. So far I have lost 9.5 lbs in 2 weeks.

Now, exercising does play a role, and that is next on my list...due to my car accident I was not able to work out right away after the baby was born.... but now I have been cleared so going to the gym will definitely add to my overall goal.

Ok, here is an example of my dinner menu this week, If anyone is interested I can share recipes too:
Sunday: Herb Roasted turkey breast, fresh yams w/cinnamon and honey

Monday: Bleu cheese Burgers with roasted red peppers, corn on the cobb, spring salad

Tuesday: Chicken Florentine with Penne Pasta
Wednesday: Pork Chile Verde rice bowls

Thursday: Pan Seared Ahi Tuna Salad

Friday-Saturday: Dine out/Take Out

I am a huge believer in this program, it really works, here's to losing this last 10 lbs!!

Chicken Florentine over Penne

I cannot tell you how excited I am about this recipe! Recently in the Rzepecki household we have kicked into "healthy" high gear in an effort to shed some remainder lbs from pregnancy #2 (yes both of us!). And so far our efforts are paying off.....

But, for those who know me, I do love to cook, so I am always on the lookout for tasty, healthy does not taste low fat recipes...enter Philadelphia's Chicken Florentine. Truth be told, at first I totally dismissed being able to use the new Philadelphia Cooking Cream , assuming they would have a gazzilion calories. But to my surprise the whole dish comes in under 400 calories (8 Weight Watcher points) AWESOME!! It is creamy, rich, tasty and HEALTHY!! Trust me you'll love it :)

Ingredients:

1 lb boneless skinless chicken, cut into bite-size pieces, seasoned with salt and pepper
1 red pepper, cut into strips
1 6 oz bag baby spinach
1 tub Philadelphia Cooking Cream, Savory Garlic
1/2 lb whole wheat Penne, cooked
2 tbsp toasted pine nuts (optional)

Directions:
Spray a large non-stick skillet with Pam. On Medium-High cook chicken and red pepper strips until chicken is no longer pink.

Add Spinach, cook until wilted, about 3 mins. Drain Cooking liquid except for 1 tbs.

Stir in cooking cream, cook for 3 mins

Toss with Pasta

Serve with grated Parmesan

ENJOY!!

Black, White and??

Isn't it funny how one thing, literally one, can inspire you to redecorate an entire room. Namely, for me our master bedroom. Recently, I came across a great deal for a black and white printed comforter, and that was it, I wanted to redo our entire room. Now I want to paint walls, buy throw rugs, and accent this great print. Here's the problem. I cannot decide what color I want to go with. My initial thought was red, it just seemed like a good fit, then I thought, no, too predictable... Common. I moved onto lime green. How fun, right? Bright, different, bold. Well than I started thinking, do I really want to commit to painting my walls lime green? Its a bit risky, lol. Here is to hoping my revamp pays off!

Big Boy!!

I just cannot believe 4 months has gone by already...it just doesn't seem possible. But our little guy is doing great and growing into quite the tank! He LOVES to eat, all the time day or NIGHT, lol!!

Now that he is officially not a newborn any more, it is now time to start him on being a a "real" infant. This means sleeping longer at night (sleep training here we come!) and solid foods, he will be very excited.

Well with out further ado, here are his stats:

Weight: 16 lbs 12 oz (80%)

Height: 26 in (83%)

Finally Did it

Well here I am, a blogger. I was really hesitant or maybe even intimidated on starting a blog. Not sure if I really had anything worth sharing...BUT since we have so much family near and far, I figure this is a good way to update everyone on the Rzepecki clan out west. If you end up following, thanks!!
